New York, February 13 (QNA): One person was killed and five others were injured following a shooting incident inside a subway station in New York City, USA.
The American New York Post reported that one or two gunmen opened fire on passengers who were waiting for the subway on the platform of the Mount Eden Avenue station in the Bronx, killing a 35-year-old man, while five people were wounded and transported.
They went to a nearby hospital to receive the necessary treatment, and their health condition was described as “stable.”
The newspaper quoted eyewitnesses as saying, “Up to 10 gunshots were heard at the station.”
The newspaper indicated that it was not immediately clear why the shooting incident occurred, but the authorities are searching for two suspects involved in carrying out the attack.
