Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest who provides the opening monologue with the program’s crew. It also features live musical performances performed by the musical guest for each episode. Each episode begins with an opening segment in which a character announces the start of the program by shouting, "Live from New York, it's Saturday night."[6]
